Goals

This 2 days I have a training to attend, "Effective Supervisory Skill for Peak Performance".

1st day of the training, I get to learn how to have a proper and effective planning skill, problem solving, goal setting, time management and some fun activities.

When the trainer asked us who doesn't has a goal or who is not sure of their goal, I raised up my hand.

She asked me: why?

I told her, I am not actually do not have any goal, it just sometimes I have too many goals until I have lost focus and confuse. And when I do not focus on the goal or have nothing to achieve, I feel lost and worries.

During the training, I listed down the goals I had set few years ago and also for now.

Few years back, I had 2 goals. The first one was doing my own business and the second one is to own a better car.

I had bought and changed my car from Kancil to Myvi and now to Vios. I would say I have successfully achieved it, but also failed 90% of the first goal - to have my own business.

Eventually, I was the one who decided to fail my first goal.

I started a small fashion business few years ago and took it as my part-time career, in addition to my full-time job in current company which is a 9 to 5 job. I ran my personal business after working hours or during my rest day.

The business was not really that bad where I searched and collected some clothes and fashion accessories to sell it online, p2p and also my sister's shop. That time I was just wanted to give myself a try. I did not gain very much profit but I managed to earn back the cost by just selling half of the stocks and still have the remaining half of the ready stocks which has been given away to friends and relatives.

That time I was extremely tired and decided to close the business in the end.

After that, I have stopped setting any goals for myself. And, I have been "goal-less" for 2 years!

In the past 2 years, life is bored and meaningless when I do not have anything I want to achieve. Everyday my life was so routine and living like a robot.

After today training, when the trainer asked me again for the purpose of setting a goal.

In just a second, I answered her: A goal leads you for a purpose of living. Without a goal in life, it's the same like a person with no dream. We do not know why are we living, and what are we living for...(I was starring at a blank paper in front of me when saying this and I know I need to do something for myself.)

I have decided to give myself a new goal for the next coming 2 years. I will give myself the best try to achieve it.

"A life with dreams, makes your life worthy! A life with goals, will make your dreams come true!" - this is how I think.

All the time, I am a dreamer and I have dreams! And now, I have a mindset that filled with goals again.
