SELAMAT PAGI!

Selamat pagi kawan-kawan! (Good morning friends!)

It's mid-week and hope everything goes smooth so far till end of the week. (^_^)
Though I am not Malay, but I got this malay's dress, baju kurung (is it called baju "kurung"?) from an old friend many years ago. But I have lost contact with her for more than 10 years. Yes, it's already 10 years ago, the thing has changed but the dress still look brand-new. I still remember her name was Mei Ling. She is Portugis-Chinese, a very beautiful lady. She has an open-minded behaviour and we were like sisters. Really miss her when everytime I wear this dress. She actually gave me two dress, but the other one was too old until the colour also faded already. This is the only and the only one malay dress I have with me. But it still looks new, right? I think it is because of it's colour and also the fabric material. It's very comfortable and pretty.

Some people say I look like Malay, or does not look like Chinese. I don't know, because I am really "mixed". I am Cantonese mixed Hakka! Wahaha!

Well, it's another 15 minutes to 12pm and I have to hurry for this post. (^_^) Otherwise I have to change from "Selamat Pagi" to "Selamat Petang"!

Well, here is an email I received from my friend few days ago. It's a very meaningful email and I like the poem so much, simple but yet, very meaningful and touched. I am not going to clarify the trustworthy of this email source, but what's most important is the message the peom trying to deliver to everyone of us. Really, do treasure what we have now and appreciate life.

This is a poem written by a teenager with cancer. She was a young girl in a New York Hospital and it was sent by a medical doctor - Make sure to read what is in the closing statement
after the poem.

SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.

Don't dance so fast

Time is short.
The music won't last

Do you run through each day
On the fly?

When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast

Time is short.
The music won't last

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,'Hi'

You'd better slow down.

Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won't
last

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift...
Thrown away.

Life is not a race

Do take it slower

Hear the music
Before the song is over.
