I felt so touch after listening to a story yesterday and I deeply understand the meanings implied in the story. Here I would like to share the story with you.
The synopsis about the story: There was this little boy at age 10 and his younger sister was sick. One day in the hospital, he was looking at his pale-looking sister who was seriously in ill and was lying on the bed. She required blood transfer but the available blood type for her was not sufficient, and this little boy's blood type and his sister were just the same, but the doctor was taking into consideration of the little boy's age, he might be too young for blood transfer. However, the little boy told the doctor that he's willing to donate his blood in order to save his little sister's life. Just right after blood transfusion, this little boy cried and he asked doctor that when will he die? Doctor was shocked and asked him why was him asking such a question? Later doctor found out that the little boy was eventually thought he will definitely die after blood transfusion. In fact, the little boy was prepared to sacrifice himself in order to save his sister's life. The love and care he had for his little sister was so impressive and unselfish.
While the moral implied behind the story is, the importance of harmonious co-existence in between brothers-sisters and to cherish each other's love is very much crucial in a relationship, and it is also one of the way of being filial to our parents.
After listening to this story, so I am very touched, and also started to understand what our parents really hope from their children. Somehow, this is a valuable lesson that I have almost ignored.
