CNY 2010

Time flies. Today is the 9th day of CNY and I am already at work since last Friday.

Well, I had a great CNY this year. 4 days at hometown since CNY’s eve seems not enough for me. I love the new year atmosphere at my hometown, with lots of firecrackers and fireworks at night. Of course, I love to go home during CNY because all my beloved family members will be gathered under the same roof. Unexpectedly, I still receive lot of Angpow in return this year though one month of my salary has been distributed to my family members. (^_^)

This year Valentine’s day falls on the first day of CNY. Therefore, me and my husband-to-be had our early celebration at Bangsar the “Tea-for-Two” restaurant. As usual, I ordered my favourite Sirloin steak and ox-tail soup. Although he didn’t buy me any roses that night, but I was really happy with the Valentine’s treat and the rose given by the restaurant’s owner. It made me remember the first roses given by him on my birthday. Yes, the roses were beautiful but he was not with me to celebrate my precious day. And this year Valentines, I felt happier with him around, even without beautiful roses from him.
All these photos were taken during the dinner. Please ignore my pale-looking face without make up. :P

美丽的花朵会让心情变好,可是有你陪伴的心情,或许比玫瑰花来得漂亮。

The next day after our celebration was CNY eve. It was Saturday and I worked till 1pm. After work, I had a simple reunion lunch with his family before heading back to my hometown. By the time I reached hometown, my sisters and mom had already prepared our reunion dinner. :P

The round table for adults and two small tables for the kids. (I always like to seat with the kids. :P)

My mother is Hakka and these are her favourite cook - Vineger Pork & braised pork! High calories, high cholesterol! But tastes so damn good!

This white gingerbread man is a must when you gamble. Haha! Just kidding! It's homemade cookies by my eldest sister.

At night I cooked "Tong Yuen" after reunion dinner for my beloved family. It was the second time I make Tong Yuen (Glutinous rice balls).

The rest of the photos below were taken at night during our pray for God of prosperity. (^_^)

My three little angels - Baby Sam Sam, Yu Xuan and Yu Qing.

This CNY, I helped to cook a lot and they like my cooking so much. Haha! *so proud of myself* (^_^) Too bad I forgot to take any pictures.

Somehow after the festival break, it's time to return to my boring working life, again. :P Anyhow, life is not always so perfect, isn't it? So? Be happy and stay 'pretty'! Haha!
